A Wildly Productive Week

This week didn't go as planned but we all know life seldom does.

Instead of sailing to Charleston, something I'd been planning for months, I felt overwhelmed by work and decided to be practical and stick close to home. Maybe because I was giving up a big fun adventure I felt compelled to make it worth the sacrifice and turn up my productivity. It's been a busy week of early mornings, late nights, and trips to Home Depot with paint in my hair.

I had several unfinished fresco paintings lining the walls of my studio starting to collect dust. That's not quite as bad as it sounds because I live in the woods and dust and spider webs happen pretty fast. These frescos (paintings on plaster) were my first priority and below is my favorite one completed.

From there I moved on to folk paintings and as you'll see below I've been in a crow mood. It seems that in Native American lore, crows are associated with magic.

"The crow is a spirit animal associated with life mysteries and magic. The power of this

bird as totem and spirit guide is to provide insight and means of supporting intentions.

A sign of luck, it is also associated with the archetype of the trickster; be aware of

deceiving appearances. If the crow has chosen you as your spirit or totem animal,

it supports you in developing the power of sight, transformation, and connection with life’s magic."

Here's to tapping into life's magic!
